The special 2 euro coin celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Union of Journalists in Finland. At the same time, it recalls the importance of open communication and freedom of expression. The coin has modern and dynamic abstract design language. The reduced male and female figures on the obverse side of the special euro and the information networks circulating as a tape reflect open communication in Finnish journalism.
